BlueCloud, a digital transformation company and global leader in cloud-only solutions today announced Brian Alvarez has been awarded CFO of the Year 2022 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
TBBJ’s CFO of the Year ceremony honored the top financial executives who help grow their companies and play an active role in the region's economy at the Hilton Tampa Downtown on May 26, 2022. Tampa Bay Business Journal hosted the awards with presenting sponsors Truist Financial and CBIZ.

Alvarez is a former U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, investor and entrepreneur who holds an economics degree from West Point and MBA from Harvard Business School. With years of experience as a finance professional in private equity and investment banking, Alvarez leads new acquisition opportunities, investor partnerships and major financing activities to support the company’s continued rapid expansion and leadership in the fast-growing data and analytics space. Alvarez has also invested in business services and technology companies across the country and serves as an advisor to multiple search fund investors and CEOs.

Recently, BlueCloud sold a majority stake to private equity firm Hudson Hill Capital at a $100M+ valuation with the guidance of Alvarez and investment bank, Lincoln International. BlueCloud is currently working toward surpassing $100 million revenue within two years IPO in the next few years.
